Rajendra Vidyalaya Jamshedpur honours academic achievers at annual prize nite

Jamshedpur: Rajendra Vidyalaya, Sakchi, celebrated its much-awaited Annual Prize Nite 2025–26 with grandeur and pride in the school auditorium. The event marked the celebration of excellence across academics, co-curricular activities, and sports, with the school community coming together to honour top-performing students and long-serving teachers.

The evening was graced by Prof (Dr) D.K. Singh, Vice-Chancellor, Jharkhand University of Technology (JUT), Ranchi, as the chief guest. The ceremony began with a safety reminder by Aditya Pandey, President of the Student Council, followed by a warm welcome address by Abhipsa Srivastava of Std XII D.

The ceremonial lamp was lit by the chief guest and dignitaries from the Bihar Association and the school management including B.N. Chaudhary (President, Bihar Association), Amresh Sinha (School Secretary), C.P.N. Singh, Principal Anita Tiwari, Vice-Principal Kiran Sinha, and Junior-in-Charge D. Vani.

In her address, Principal Anita Tiwari presented the Annual School Report, outlining the school’s progress and achievements in academics, innovation, and overall student development. She reiterated the institution’s commitment to nurturing holistic growth.

Meritorious students were honoured with trophies, certificates, and cash prizes. Top scorers in the ICSE and ISC Board Examinations, as well as high achievers in JEE (Advanced) and NEET, were recognised.

The ICSE topper received the C.D. Singh Award along with a cash prize of Rs 10,000. The second and third toppers received Rs 8,000 and Rs 6,000 respectively. The ISC topper was honoured with the K.B. Sinha Award and a cash prize of Rs 12,000, while the next two top scorers received Rs 10,000 and Rs 8,000 respectively.

In addition to student awards, three senior faculty members were felicitated for completing 25 years of service at Rajendra Vidyalaya. The honoured teachers—Ramakant Singh, Sunanda Kumari, and Krishna Ghosh—were recognised by the chief guest for their dedication and long-standing service to the institution.
