Jamshedpur, July 28: DBMS Career Academy hosted its Annual Prize Night, to honour the academic and extracurricular achievements of its students. The event was marked by a vibrant celebration of talent, discipline, and dedication, with the school community coming together to applaud its top performers.

The event recognised students for their exceptional performance across academics, leadership, and vocational education. The ceremony was graced by Colonel Vinay Ahuja from the 37 Jharkhand Battalion NCC as the Chief Guest, while Mrs. Mousumi Das, Principal of SDSM School, attended as Guest of Honour. The function was presided over by President Geetha Mohandas, along with Principal Soma Banerjee, Secretary Meena Sundar Raj, and other dignitaries including Chairperson Finance B. Chandrasekhar, Chairperson Admin Lalitha Chandrasekhar, and Joint Chairperson Kamala Subramanium. Members of the Samaj, Board of Trustees, principals of DBMS institutions, faculty, and parents were also present. The vote of thanks was delivered by Joint Secretary Vasanti Raghuram.

Principal Soma Banerjee appreciated the hard work of students and faculty, stating, “This event showcased the potential within our community. It was a moment of pride and recognition.” Secretary Meena Sundar Raj presented the Annual Report highlighting infrastructural developments.
Cultural performances added vibrance to the event, with a powerful student production themed “Naari – Ek Katha” and a colourful fashion show by the Fashion Designing Department that drew loud applause from the audience.
Among the major awards, Sneha Chokshi topped the Secondary Board in the Science stream with 89.6%, followed by Jayant Sardar (83.8%) and Aryan Utkarsh Tarwey (82.6%). In the Commerce stream (with Maths), Arab Agarwal secured the top spot with 67.4%, followed by Vishal Kumar Rajak (64.2%) and Akshay Mawandia (64%). For Commerce with Home Science, Suhani Singh led with 74.4%, followed closely by Vincy Davina Anthony and Garv Singhania (both 74%), and Veronica Singh (73.2%). In Commerce with Hindi, Deepshikha topped with 83.8%, followed by Ritwik Kumar (80.4%) and Anusha Jaiswal (78%).
At the Senior Secondary level, Manas Kumar Mishra topped the Science stream with 85.2%, earning the Overall Senior Secondary Topper and the All-Rounder Award. He was followed by Pravin Suren (80.2%) and Pranav Kumar (79.6%). In Commerce, Deepshikha emerged as the topper with 83.8%.
Special awards included the All-Rounder Award for Tanvi Jiya at the Secondary level and the Principal’s Award for Leadership to Deepshikha of Std. XII D. Vocational stream toppers included Nisha Kumari and Tanvi Kumari in Fashion Designing.
Subject toppers included Sneha Chokshi in Hindi, Maths, Science & Technology, Home Science, Data Entry, and Bakery & Confectionery. Vincy Davina Anthony scored highest in English, while Janvi Sharma led in Economics and Tanvi Jiya in Business Studies. Uzma Zarin topped Painting, and Tanvi Jiya also secured the highest in Accountancy.
The evening concluded with a message of encouragement and pride, as the school reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing academic excellence and creative growth.
