Jamshedpur, August 6: District Congress Committee today tabled a press conference headed by their national spokesperson and former Jamshedpur MP Dr. Ajay Kumar.
The event was organized at the Tilak Pustakalay office of the congress in Bistupur. Kumar as anticipated was all charged up against the Modi led central govt. He said,�Modi govt. is highly skilled in marketing. They woo the Indian public with sweet words but actually deceive them.
This govt. has proved to be a boon for only a few Industrialists.� He questioned the sanctity of the land acquisition bill which the govt. was pushing to pass & also termed it as the �Black chapter� in the history of the parliament. However the reluctant govt. finally gave in to the strong opposition by the congress & agreed to pass the then UPA govt. bill.
The BJP govt. is targetting only the congress MPs so that the opposition does not unite and provide hinderance to the parliamentary functions. Coming over to the state BJP govt. he said that while in his tenure as the MP he completed all procedures for the establishment of the Manipal hospital, but now the govt. has backed out from the plan that could have been proved useful for the commons.
The conference saw the presence of various members of the district congress like Bijay Khan, Debu Chatterjee, Sunny Sinku, Manjeet Anand, Paritosh Singh and Trishanu Rai.
Ajay Kumar attacks Chhattisgarh CM Raman Singh
Congress� national spokesperson and former MP Dr. Ajay Kumar in an attack to the BJP led central govt. said,�The centre boasts of its corruption free regime but we demand answer to the fact that Chattisgarh CM Raman Singh has mishandled funds of worth 1,50,000 crores.
This money belongs to the people of Chhattisgarh.� He mentioned that the Cm popularly known as �chawal baba� ought to be called as �chawal chor baba�(literary means the sage who steals rice) This comment was made in lieu of the Public Distribution System(PDS) scheme of Chhattisgarh which is lauded throughout the nation. Kumar demanded immediate probe and action from the central govt. in this regard.
Why CM needs 3 secretariats: Ajay Kumar
Ajay Kumar taking a dig at Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that recnetly he has been taking certaing decisions without consulting his ministers, this sends a wrong message for all and should be discontinued on his part.
He also threw questions at Das aking him why he has been operating 3 secreatariats in the state-Ranchi, Dumka and Jamshedpur.
Congress to demonstrate for medical college
Congress spokesperson Dr. Ajay Kumar targetted the chief minister Raghubar Das and demanded answers to his questions that why the state govt. is delaying the establishment of the medical college that was to be structured soon after the govt. assumed power.
He also added that the 86 basti residents were assured of permanent residential status before elections but had to settle for a sub-leased agreement.
