Jamshedpur: Quantum 2025, the flagship Inter-School Science and Innovation Fest organized by the enterprising Plus one and Plus two students of Little Flower School, unfolded as a celebration of curiosity, creativity, and collaboration. What began as a modest science fair has evolved into one of the region’s most prestigious academic conclaves, attracting participants from premier institutions to compete, showcase, and grow. Spearheaded under the guidance of Principal Sister Hilda D’Souza and Convener Mr. Ashish Kapoor, this year’s edition stood as a multi-disciplinary fusion of science, technology, sustainability, entrepreneurship, literature, and the arts. It provided a holistic platform for the young minds of tomorrow to test the limits of their potential.

Quantum 2025 attracted 681 participants across 17 events. Schools from across the region joined the intellectual arena. The event did not just test skills but also sparked career aspirations, environmental consciousness, and interdisciplinary exploration.
Day 1 : A Dazzling Day of Discovery and Dynamism
The first day of Quantum, Little Flower School’s signature inter-school science fest, held on Friday, June 27, 2025 kicked off with electric enthusiasm, intellectual vigour, and a celebration of creativity across disciplines. Students from multiple schools gathered at dawn, their minds primed for a day that promised innovation, excitement, and competition of the highest calibre.

The day began in the School Auditorium with a grand Opening Ceremony, setting the tone with a fusion of inspiring speeches, vibrant visuals, and cultural expressions. The school was proud to welcome the Chief Guest, Sandeep Kabra, Director, Kabra Transport Pvt. Ltd. and its guests of honour, Father Vinod Fernandez, Principal of Loyola School and Nandini Shukla, Principal of KSMS. The past educators who initiated and brought Quantum to life namely Sangeeta Chatrath, Diyali Sengupta and Amarjeet Kaur were also invited for the inauguration ceremony. The teacher coordinators Ashish Kapoor, Ranita Karmakar, Dibyo Jyoti Ghosh and Moumita Das welcomed participants with messages of curiosity, innovation, and collaboration, celebrating the youthful spirit of scientific inquiry.

The Onstage Events began with Rhythm Riots which was a stunning Gen-Z vs. Millennial dance showdown that took center stage as participants showcased freestyle routines packed with creativity, choreography, and cultural relevance. The auditorium echoed with applause as dancers blended nostalgia with modern flair using vibrant props and coordinated storytelling.

The onstage events also comprised STEM Quiz in which six qualifying teams faced off in a rapid-fire science and math challenge. From logical puzzles to physics phenomena, this high-stakes final round tested depth, speed, and team coordination in a gripping display of academic mastery.
The next event was House of Memories, an emotionally driven literary event, in which participants brought narratives and memories to life, emphasizing storytelling, voice, and empathy in a dark-room recitation that focused solely on vocal impact.
Seeds to Success was an entrepreneurial innovation which took the spotlight as teams pitched eco-city solutions for a fictional recovery zone, “Solivara.” Combining sustainable development goals, business models, and visual presentations, this round reflected deep strategic thinking and social consciousness.
The Offstage Events showcased brilliance behind the scenes beginning with Cinenova in which media teams hustled throughout the campus, capturing Day 1 highlights for a reel-making contest. With genre challenges and sustainable development props, students worked creatively to produce a 60-second cinematic narrative of the fest.
Bioluminerds – this quiz saw intense competition as science enthusiasts battled through MCQs and logical rounds to earn spots in the finals.
Codexia (Coding Challenge) was the next event in which future tech leaders tackled code debugging and reverse engineering in paper-system rounds designed to simulate real-world programming crises.
Battle Bots – A crowd favorite, this robotics combat challenge had bots clashing in intense 1v1 battles, combining engineering and strategy in electrifying matches.
Robokick – Robotic footballers faced off in an AI-powered soccer showdown. Custom-built bots fought for goals in matches filled with tech, tension, and cheers.
Solivara & Venture-Verse – Teams ran stalls and campaigns for assigned startups, linking real-world marketing with sustainability in engaging presentations and exhibitions.
Darwin’s Gladiator – From critical thinking and resume writing to physical agility, participants undertook one of the most intense challenges of the day. This all-rounder test of grit, strength, and intellect drew admiration from all corners of the campus.
The first day of Quantum 2025 was a resounding success — blending passion, performance, and purpose. With robotics rumbling, ideas sparking, and voices echoing in both labs and auditoriums, Little Flower School truly transformed into a crucible of young excellence. The anticipation now builds for Day 2, as students gear up to push the boundaries even further.
