Ek Din MSME Ke Naam: ICAI Jamshedpur Hosts MSME Mahotsav

Jamshedpur, June 27: The “ICAI MSME Mahotsav” was successfully organized at the Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Bistupur, by the Jamshedpur Branch of CIRC, under the aegis of the MSME and Startup Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI). The event was part of ICAI’s nationwide celebration of MSME Day across 177 branches, aimed at recognizing the vital role of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the Indian economy.

This year’s theme, “Ek Din MSME Ke Naam”, focused on fostering dialogue around key challenges faced by the MSME sector, such as digital transformation, regulatory compliance, and the growing importance of virtual CFOs in small businesses.

The program commenced with a welcome address by CA Kaushalendra Das, President of ICAI Jamshedpur Branch. He highlighted the importance of the MSME sector in job creation, innovation, and supporting the vision of a self-reliant India.

Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahto graced the event as Chief Guest and lauded ICAI for organizing a platform that encouraged entrepreneurship and supported local talents. “MSMEs are hubs of opportunities for youth and such events pave the way for meaningful growth,” he said.

SCCI President Vijay Anand Moonka stated, “This Mahotsav is a strong bridge between industry and professionals. Dialogues on compliance and digital transformation are essential for today’s business environment.”

Key sessions held included Digital Transformation in MSMEs (Speaker CA Saurabh Agarwal), Role of Compliance in Startup Survival (Speaker CA Subhendu Agarwal) and Virtual CFOs for MSMEs (Speaker CA Rishi Arora).

Several helpdesks were set up to assist MSME participants: SIDBI Desk – Financial scheme support; NSIC Desk – Government schemes and incentives; Axis & Union Bank Desks – MSME loans and digital banking; Udyam Registration Center – Business registration guidance; Subsidy Desk – Info on various subsidy programs.

The event witnessed active participation from MSME stakeholders. The program was coordinated by CA Chetan Agarwal, CA Anand Kumar Agarwal, CA Yogesh Sharma, and CA Mukund Kedia, with stage management by CA Rishi Arora. (w/gsd)
