PS to CM visits proposed film city site at Tokisood

Patratu, March 13: Tokisood �Palu, situated near the picturesque valleys of Patratu, will soon become familiar with the sounds like action…camera…cut. Sanjay Kumar, principal secretary to the Jharkhand Chief Minister visited the proposed site of Jharkhand�s Film City on Sunday along with local intellectuals. Kumar had an extensive spot visit of Tokisood and surroundings.

The intellectuals and journalists who accompanied Sanjay Kumar appreciated the steps taken by Government of Jharkhand for establishing a film city and developing the local film industry. They collectively said that the vision and proposed plan of the government are appreciable. The site proposed for film city has an abundance of scenic beauty and it will help boost film industry and tourism sector of state.

While briefing about the nature�s beauty at proposed film city site, principal secretary said, �All possible amenities will be made available and very soon the process of developing the proposed area will start. The film city will not only facilitate the people related to film-making, but also catalyze the scope of employment to locals in other areas.� He added that a new township will be developed near Tokisood railway station of Ramgarh district.

He briefed the intellectuals and journalists saying that 113.40 acres of forest land, 80.51 acres of GM land and 6.09 acre raiyati land has been earmarked by the Ramgarh deputy commissioner for the proposed film city.

He added, �The proposed site is well connected with rail and road.� Kumar hoped that this project will give a wider international space to the ongoing development of the state.

Senior journalists Om Gaur and Hari Narayan Singh, director, IPRD, Awdhesh Pandey and others accompanied Kumar to the spot.
