Bangla, Oriya books to students from next session: Raghubar Das

Jamshedpur, March 13: Chief Minister Raghubar Das on Sunday said that students will be provided with text books in Bangla, Oriya and other tribal languages from the next session.

Addressing a gathering at the platinum jubilee celebrations of the Oriya Urdu School at Baharagora near here on Sunday, Das said, a Jharkhand Bhawan will be constructed at Puri.

Language and cultural connect people and Prime Minister Narendra Modi has given the slogan of ‘Sabka Saath Sabka Vikas.’ He further said that the state government will soon write to the railway minister about the progress of the pending railway project from Chakulia in Jharkhand to Mayurbhanj in Odisha.

Das criticized the opposition’s role in not allowing functioning of the Assembly and said discussion should be held instead of creating chaos.

People of the district are lucky to have a MP like Bidhut Baran Mahato. Jamshedpur MP said, “From a very long time I have been fighting for Bangla and Oriya languages.”

Also present at the event was former minister Dr. Dinesh Sarangi, MLA Kunal Sarangi and others.
