Jamshedpur: Priya Mahali, a promising archer from the ISWP Archery Training Center, has been selected to represent Jharkhand in the Indian Round Archery Team for the upcoming National Games. The games are scheduled to begin on January 28 in Uttarakhand.
Priya, hailing from Sundarnagar, is trained under coach Sushant Mahato. This marks her debut in the senior category, although she has previously competed in Sub-Junior and Junior Nationals, securing an impressive tally of six medals—three gold and three silver.
Priya, whose highest score in archery is an outstanding 350 out of 360, credits her parents, Vishu Mahali and Budho Mahali, as her greatest inspirations. With her selection for the senior championship, Priya aims to continue making her state proud and set new benchmarks in the sport.
The ISWP Archery Training Center, now integrated with Tata Steel, has played a pivotal role in honing her skills and fostering her growth as a skilled archer.
