Temple Foundation and Medical Interaction on Agenda
Jamshedpur: President Droupadi Murmu will arrive in Jamshedpur tomorrow, February 26, for a high-profile one-day visit. Her itinerary includes laying the foundation stone for a grand Jagannath Temple and interacting with medical students at Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC).
Schedule and Arrival
According to the official schedule, the President will arrive in Ranchi, and she will then board an Indian Air Force MI-17 helicopter, landing at Sonari Airport in Jamshedpur. From the airport, she will proceed by road to the event site on Marine Drive in Kadma.

Jagannath Temple Bhoomi Pujan
The foundation stone ceremony for the Shri Jagannath Spiritual and Culture Charitable Centre is scheduled to begin at 12:40 PM.
- Ceremony: President Murmu will perform the Bhoomi Pujan and unveil the foundation plaque.
- Dignitaries: Joining her on stage will be Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, and Governor Santosh Kumar Gangwar. All three leaders are expected to address the gathering.
Interaction at Manipal Tata Medical College (MTMC)
Following that, the President will visit Manipal Tata Medical College at 2:50 PM. Her engagements at the college include:
- A group photograph with faculty members and graduating students.
- A brief interactive session with the student body.
- A commemorative tree-planting ceremony on the college campus.
Departure Details
The President is scheduled to depart from the medical college and head for Sonari Airport. She will return to Ranchi via helicopter and is expected to board a special Indian Air Force aircraft for Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
