PLFI area commander carrying reward of Rs 2 lakh nabbed in Jharkhand’s West Singhbhum

Jamshedpur, July 15: After West Singhbhum police arrested Novel Sandipurty, a two lakh rewarded ultra of the banned outfit People’s Liberation Front of India (PLFI) on Thursday, on Friday again, the police got another big success when PLFI’s zonal commander and two lakh reward militant Santosh Kandulna was nabbed. 

According to the information, an AK-47 rifle has also been recovered from Santosh. However, West Singhbhum Police has not confirmed Santosh’s arrest.

According to information received from reliable sources, Santosh Kandulna has been arrested from Sanga village of Bandgaon block of Chakradharpur-Podahat subdivision of West Singhbhum district. Santosh’s in-laws are in Sanga village. According to the information, Santosh had come to his in-laws’ house. Police were looking for him in that area. The police got information that Santosh Sanga was staying at his in-laws’ house in the village. On this information, the police laid siege and arrested Santosh from his in-laws’ house in Sanga village.

With the arrest of two big terrorists of PLFI in a span of two consecutive days, the morale of the police is on high. Also, it is expected to affect the morale of the militants. After the arrival of the new Superintendent of Police of West Singhbhum, Abhishek Anand, the exercise to rein in Naxal activities has started. In order to put pressure on the police, Naxalites had burnt illegal sand tractors in Guddi in July. Along with this, the construction of an under-construction government building was also obstructed. But after that in two consecutive days, the police have broken the back of PLFI by arresting two big prize Naxalites.
