People want a better PM and a strong government: Goswami

Jamshedpur: Former state president of Bharatiya Janata party Dr Dineshanand Goswami today claimed that the Lok Sabha election in Jamshedpur Parliamentary constituency was going to be won by party candidate Vidyut Varan Mahato by landslide margin.

Goswami said both rural as well as urban parts of East Singhbhum were going to extend huge support to Vidyut Varan since the people were now fed up with the United Progressive Alliance at the Centre. He said the people were going to reject Dr Ajoy Kumar of JVM since his party had no stronghold in the state.

JVM candidate or his party colleagues are unable to tell the people the name of their candidate for the post of Prime Minister. BJP is projecting Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi as the PM aspirant. But this is not the case with other parties. JVM is one such party which does not have a clear agenda and plan. Hence people are surely not going to trust such a party and vote for its candidate, said Goswami, speaking to scribes in a hotel at Bistupur.

Goswami alleged that the UPA-led government had failed to provide irrigation facility to farmers in the state in the last 60 years. The UPA government could not give water to our farmers in the last so many decades. JVM first supported such government and later withdrew its support. Such a government should be uprooted at once since this country needs progress. By electing Narendra Modi as PM, we can ensure national progress and prosperity, he said.

The BJP leader further said that the Hemant Soren led state government was in minority and that it was practically devoid of power to take decisions. He said the governor should sack the government immediately.
