Parvinder Bhatia and Manpreet win Tata Steel Media Quiz

Corporate Communications department organises quiz on the 166th Birth Anniversary of Sir Dorabji Tata

Jamshedpur, Aug 27: Parvinder Bhatia of ‘The Pioneer’ and Manpreet Singh Bhatia of ‘The Avenue Mail’ emerged victorious in the Media Quiz organised by Tata Steel Corporate Communications Department to commemorate the 166th birth anniversary of Dorabji Tata, one of the pioneering leaders of the Tata Group and a visionary behind the progress of Tata Steel.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from the media fraternity of Jamshedpur, with more than 50 journalists registering for the competition. The quiz began with a preliminary round of 15 questions which participants had to answer in groups of two members in each team.

After multiple engaging rounds, the top five teams, each comprising two members, advanced to the final stage of the quiz, where their knowledge and quick thinking were tested across a range of media and current affairs topics including life & work of Sir Dorabji Tata.

The team of Parvinder Bhatia (The Pioneer) and Manpreet Singh Bhatia (Avenue Mail) emerged as the winners of Media Quiz 2025. The team of Anjani Pandey (Sahara Samay) and Nanak Singh (Sahara Samay) came second in the quiz. The duo of Sanjay Prasad and Pashupati Nath Mishra came third.

The winning teams were felicitated by senior journalists including Jai Prakash Rai, Editor, Chamakta Aina, and B. Srinivas, Bureau Chief, Press Trust of India and Rajesh Rajan, Head Raw Materials and Jharkhand of Corporate Communications, Tata Steel. The quiz master of this media quiz was Tata Steel’s Corporate Communications Manager Nibha Sharma.

The event was graced by the presence of several eminent media personalities from leading media houses of Jamshedpur.

The quiz served as a vibrant platform to celebrate the spirit of journalism while paying tribute to Sir Dorabji Tata’s legacy of pioneering vision, leadership, and nation-building.
