Tata Motors Held to Goalless Draw as Classic Eight, Urban Service Register Big Wins in JSA League

Jamshedpur, Aug 27: The JSA League witnessed contrasting results on Wednesday, with a hard-fought stalemate in the Premier Division while Classic Eight and Urban Service registered emphatic victories in the Super and A Division fixtures.

At the Sumant Moolgaokar Stadium, Tata Motors and Jamshedpur Boys Club played out a goalless draw in the Premier Division. Both teams created openings but were denied by resilient defending on either end. The match also saw three bookings — Baset Hansda and Kishan Sardar of Tata Motors were cautioned in the 27th and 53rd minutes, while Sunil Kisku of JBC picked up a yellow card in the 65th minute.

In the Super Division clash at Tinplate Sports Complex, Classic Eight defeated Pandit Raghunath Memorial Foundation (PRMF) 4-2 in a thrilling encounter. Deepak Soren gave Classic Eight an early lead in the 7th minute before Rakesh Gope struck twice in the 22nd and 23rd minutes to put them firmly ahead. PRMF fought back through Govind Singh (35th) and Ishwar Hansdah (45th), reducing the deficit before halftime. However, Gope completed his hat-trick in the 82nd minute to secure victory for Classic Eight. Both sides picked up one booking each — Govind Singh for PRMF and Ganesh Karwa for Classic Eight.

The most one-sided result of the day came at the Armoury Ground, where Urban Service demolished Ambedkar FC 6-0 in an A Division Group B match. Vikas Soren opened the scoring in the 8th minute, followed by quick goals from Daso Murmu (14th), Samir Soren (28th), Shukdev Pareya (31st), and Vishal Munda (39th). Ram Murmu added a sixth in the 53rd minute as Urban Service dominated throughout, leaving Ambedkar FC struggling to cope with the relentless attack.

With the results, the Premier Division remains tightly contested, while Classic Eight and Urban Service strengthened their positions in their respective divisions with convincing performances.
