Parivartan Rally in Jamshedpur: PM Modi labels JMM, Congress, RJD ‘enemies’ of Jharkhand

Jamshedpur: Prime Minister Narendra Modi, addressing the Parivartan Rally in Jamshedpur on Sunday, launched a strong attack on the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), and Congress, calling them the “enemies” of Jharkhand.

Starting his speech with the traditional greeting “Johar,” Modi criticized the Hemant Soren-led government and said,  “There are three enemies of Jharkhand—JMM, RJD, and Congress—and the sooner people understand this, the better it will be for them.”

He accused RJD of still holding a grudge against Jharkhand for becoming a separate state.

PM accused Congress of neglecting the Dalit, poor, and backward communities during its years in power.

“Congress despises Jharkhand, which is why they never allowed the backward sections to progress,” he added, accusing the party of putting greed and power above the state’s welfare.

He also targeted the JMM, accusing it of using Adivasi votes to rise to power while aligning with groups that threaten the land rights of Jharkhand’s people.

Modi expressed concerns about the rise of illegal immigrants, particularly in the Santhal and Kolhan regions, which he said endangered local communities. He accused the JMM government of ignoring the issue despite a recent Jharkhand High Court order calling for an investigation.

“The demographics of these regions are changing due to Bangladeshi and Rohingya immigrants,” Modi said, alleging that the JMM supports these groups for political gains. He also highlighted the controversy surrounding former Chief Minister Champai Soren, claiming that the disrespect shown to him had deeply hurt the tribal population of the state.

Turning his attention to Congress, the Prime Minister labeled the party as the “most corrupt” in India and accused the Gandhi family of leading it. He also accused JMM of learning corruption from what he called the “Congress School of Corruption.”

PM Modi stressed the need for accountability, urging the public to hold corrupt leaders responsible in the upcoming elections. “We must account for every penny looted from Jharkhand, and I need your support for this,” he said.

The Prime Minister also condemned the state government for the deaths of more than 15 candidates during recruitment exam physical tests. He offered condolences to their families and promised a thorough investigation if the BJP and NDA return to power in the state.

Concluding his address, Modi promised to bring Jharkhand back on track under BJP leadership, receiving enthusiastic cheers from the crowd as elections draw near.
