Jamshedpur: Yash Kumar, a student of Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES), clinched a silver medal in the CISCE National Karate Championship held in Jhansi, Uttar Pradesh. Competing in the 62-66 kg weight category of the under-19 age group, Yash, a 12th grader, was narrowly defeated by an opponent from Uttar Pradesh in the finals.
This achievement has earned Yash a spot on the reserved players’ list for the upcoming SGFI tournament. Under the guidance of coach Neeraj Kumar, Yash has been honing his skills for the past ten years. His recent successes include another silver medal at last year’s CISCE National Tournament and a podium finish at the South Asian Open International Tournament in Kathmandu.
School Principal Paromita Roy Choudhary congratulated Yash on his outstanding performance, praising his dedication and hard work.
