Parade rehearsals for Republic Day begin in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur: Preparations for Republic Day Celebration-2025 have commenced in full swing under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal. As part of these preparations, rehearsals for the parade have started at Police Line, Golmuri, with all participating platoons actively taking part to ensure a flawless performance on the occasion.

This year’s district-level parade will feature eight platoons, including one from JAP-6, three from the District Police Force (including Auxiliary Police), one from the District Home Guard, two from the NCC (men and women), and one from the Scouts and Guides. These diverse groups will showcase discipline and coordination, reflecting the spirit of the Republic Day celebrations.

The rehearsals will continue at Police Line on January 21 and 22, allowing participants to refine their routines and synchronize their movements. The full dress rehearsal, scheduled for January 24 at Gopal Maidan, will serve as the final preparation before the grand event. This critical rehearsal will be jointly inspected by District Magistrate cum Deputy Commissioner  Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police to ensure everything is in place for the main event.

Authorities have emphasized the importance of these rehearsals, not only to perfect the parade execution but also to instill confidence among the participants. The district administration is committed to making this year’s Republic Day celebration a memorable and dignified occasion, highlighting the unity and strength of the nation.

Gopal Maidan is being prepared to host the main event, where the parade will be the central attraction, accompanied by cultural programs and flag hoisting. The administration has urged all departments involved to collaborate effectively to ensure the success of the event.
