Chaibasa: A pickup van carrying wedding guests overturned, killing two and leaving six others critically injured. The accident occurred near Manoharpur when the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle, causing it to veer off the road and flip into a nearby field.

According to police, the passengers were traveling back from a marriage ceremony when the mishap took place. Witnesses stated that the vehicle appeared to lose stability before tumbling into the field, sparking immediate panic among the travellers.
Local residents were the first to respond, launching a rescue effort and alerting the Manoharpur police and emergency medical teams.
Casualties and Medical Response
First responders confirmed that two passengers died on the spot due to the impact of the crash. Six other individuals sustained severe injuries and were rushed to a local health center. Given the critical nature of their conditions, medical officials have since referred them to a larger hospital for specialized treatment.

West Singhbhum police have launched a formal investigation into the cause of the accident, looking into whether mechanical failure or driver negligence played a role.
