110 Artists Unite for “Chir Nutan” Musical Extravaganza at Jamshedpur’s Rabindra Tirtha

Jamshedpur: The Jharkhand state institution “Jamshedpur Rabindra Tirtha” hosted a cultural program “Chir Nutan” on May 10, 2026, at the Kudy Mahanty Auditorium. The event, which commenced at 6:00 PM, served as a massive tribute to the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore, bringing together a symphony of voices from across the state.

A Synchronized Musical Tribute

In a rare display of cultural unity, a total of 110 artists from Jamshedpur, Ranchi, and Bokaro converged on a single stage. The highlight of the evening was the collective rendition of Rabindra Sangeet, where all 110 performers presented the compositions in unison, mesmerizing the audience with their harmony.

Dignitaries and Honors

The event was graced by Mr. Partho Sarathi Sen as the Chief Guest and Dr. Sourajyoti De as the Guest of Honor. Recognizing the importance of cultural preservation, the institution conferred special honors upon Mr. Chandan Chand, Mr. Sabyasachi Chand, and Mr. Subir Lahiri for their significant contributions to the field of culture.

The Mentors Behind the Magic

The seamless performance was the result of rigorous training provided by a dedicated team of Gurus from across Jharkhand:

  • Ranchi: Lily Mukherjee, Aparajita Bhattacharya, Aparupa Chowdhury, and Paramita Chowdhury.

  • Bokaro: Lopamudra Chowdhury.

  • Jamshedpur: Sandeep Das.

Mr. Sandeep Das played a pivotal role as the overall mentor for the Jharkhand state contingent. Additionally, the success of the program was bolstered by the collaborative efforts of Mr. Amit Chatterjee, Rumki Das, and Mr. Arnab Ghosh.
