Jamshedpur, Aug 6: Well-known social worker and Madhuri Dixit fan, Pappu Sardar, visited Cheshire Home in Sundarnagar to celebrate Raksha Bandhan with the special girls and sisters. Following his tradition, he had Rakhis tied by the special girls residing at the Cheshire Home. He distributed sweets and gifts among all the inmates.
Speaking on the occasion, Pappu expressed that the love and affection he received at Cheshire Home was unparalleled. He shared his desire to spread joy among these special children during every festival so that they never felt alone. “The happiness of getting Rakhi tied by these sisters is beyond words. Both my hands are filled with Rakhis—this is my fortune,” he said. Pappu also recalled that even Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit had tied Rakhi to him.
Sister Sisley, head of Cheshire Home, expressed gratitude and said the children eagerly awaited Pappu’s visit during every festival. She noted that Pappu had been visiting the home to celebrate Raksha Bandhan every year since 1996.
