BJP leaders retaliates to Banna’s charges

Jamshedpur, April 4: BJP leader  Abhay Singh who is also the central patron of the Ramnavami Akhara Committee, retaliated to the charges of state health minister Banna Gupta by accusing him or orchestrating all the confusion during Ramnavami.

“All the games were played by him in Ramvanmi. Now that the whole matter has come to an end, he is trying to shed crocodile tears,” alleged Abhay Singh while addressing media at his residential office on Tuesday.

He further alleged that opposition Shri Ram is in the DNA of Congress culture since long and health minister who adopted the same Congress culture a few years back is claiming to be Hindu and raising Hindutva issues.

Abhay Singh said that when the debate was going on in the Vidhansabha regarding DJ, at that time instead of opposing the policy and intentions of the government, Banna Gupta remained silent.

Abhay Singh said that his family was and will remain Hindu. He is not averse to being called a rioter for protecting Hindus. For this they feel proud. At the same time, to protect Hindutva, they are ready to commit such a mistake not once but hundred times.

 He said that he cannot compromise with Hindutva irrespective of his party affiliation. Despite the pressure of the local administration in the year 2017, even while living in JVM, he took out his flag alone on Friday instead of Thursday.

In connection with the issuance of warrant for violating the government guidelines in distribution of bhog during Durga Puja, Abhay Singh said that he will not give arrest. Rather, if the police have the courage, they should arrest him.

He said that Bhog distribution and Ram Navami flag immersion procession is not their personal matter but that of the society. They are even ready to go to jail for the sake of the society.

However, he said that he has informed the senior leaders of the party about the issue of warrants.

On the other hand, he said that on April 6, a meeting of the President and Secretary of all Akhara Committees of the city has been called at Kashidih Durga Puja ground. In the said meeting, the controversy arising out of Ram Navami and the role of political parties in this matter will be discussed.
