Open manhole on busy road inviting accidents in Chaibasa

Chaibasa, Sept 21: An open manhole near the Axis Bank at Amlatola has been an invitation to major road mishaps as the route is among the busiest in Chaibasa. Congress leader and MP Representative Trishanu Roy, in a letter addressed to Executive Officer of Chaibasa Municipal Corporation Satendra Mahto demanded a cover on the manhole that currently spells an open invitation to loss of life and limbs.  “The threat looms larger now as puja revelers would invariably throng to Puja Pandals, especially at the Amlatola Durga Mandir,” Roy mentioned in his letter to the CMC Executive Officer.

The Singhbhum MP’s Representative demanded that a cover be immediately placed on the manhole to minimize mishap threats. Trishanu Roy stated, “The uncovered manhole currently is a veritable threat to loss of life and limbs especially during the festive season as the Amlatola Durga Mandir attracts hordes of devotees and pandal hoppers.”
