Non-teaching staff lock Jamshedpur Workers� College

Jamshedpur, Jan 25: The non-teaching staff members of Jamshedpur Workers� College today locked up all classrooms holding up regular functioning. No office work could be performed either. The students were irked as no classes were held.

The non teaching staff of Jamshedpur Workers� College held a meeting on Friday, January 24 and decided on today�s agitation. They had protested at the college Principal Dr AK Mehta and informed him about today�s programme.

The non teaching staff members of the college are angry at Kolhan University�s directive to replace present chief accountant Dipak Das by posting his former counterpart Manoj Kishore. A fact finding team was constituted by the University and its report has drawn the ire of the staff members. University spokesman Dr AK Jha stated that going by seniority as per the team�s report, Kolhan University has directed that manoj Kishore be posted as the chief accountant.
