Musical tribute to poet saint Thyagaraja at Madrasi Sammelani

Jamshedpur, Jan. 25: To pay homage to the 17th century poet saint Sri Thyagaraja, Madrasi Sammelani today organized a musical evening at its premises on Saturday, January 25. Hamsa Murali, Priya Nagarajan, Manga Tayaru, Shailaja Swarup, Gayatri Sampat, Jayashri,� Malini Raman, local artists sang famous songs penned by Shri Thyagaraja. Mr Prasad and Mrs Brinda from Kolkata accompanied them on Mrudangam and Violin respectively. ‘Jagadoddharaka’, Endaro Mahanubhavulu’ are some of the songs rendered by the artists which have been well received by the audience who were thoroughly enthralled by the event.
