Ranchi: Immediate action has been taken to ban nominations at RKDF University, Ranchi, with the University Registrar, Amit Pandey, being declared ineligible. This decision comes as a result of an inquiry committee’s findings that revealed Amit Pandey’s appointment to the Registrar’s post did not comply with UGC norms.
The Higher and Technical Education Department, acting upon the investigation report submitted by the inquiry committee and following the instructions of the Governor of Jharkhand, has issued instructions to enforce the nomination ban and declare Amit Pandey ineligible.
Several months ago, the inquiry committee, comprising Dr. RK Sharma of Ranchi University, Dr. Pankaj Kumar of DSPMU, and Dr. Ganganand Singh of Vinoba Bhave University, visited RKDF University to investigate issues such as the alleged illegal sale of degrees by the University Registrar and the qualifications of Amit Pandey.
The department has issued a show-cause notice to the University Registrar, instructing him to submit a response within 45 days. Additionally, the notice questions why an administrator should not be appointed for the university due to violations of provisions.
