NHES Jamshedpur awards ICSE and ISC achievers

Jamshedpur, June 27: Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES) hosted Student Appreciation Ceremony, “NHES REKUP,” on June 27, to honor the outstanding achievers of the 2023-24 academic session.

The ceremony was graced by Chief Guest Rituraj Sinha, Managing Director of Tata Steel Utilities and Infrastructure Services Limited, and Guest of Honour Sharat Chandran, Director of Kerala Public Schools, Jamshedpur.

The event commenced with the traditional lamp lighting and Shloka recitation. NHES students performed yoga postures to the tune of the shloka, showcasing their talents. Saplings and gifts were presented to the distinguished guests, Sinha and Chandran.

Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury delivered the Annual Report, highlighting the school’s achievements in academics and extracurricular activities. A captivating dance performance to Celine Dion’s motivational song and an inspiring band performance by the NHES choir added to the event’s vibrancy.

Rituraj Sinha, awarded the ICSE achievers, while Sharat Chandran, honored the JEE Advanced and ISC toppers. Nakul Kamani, President of the School Managing Committee, also awarded the ISC achievers.

In the ICSE Examination, Shynita Mukherjee topped the Science stream with 98.80%, securing the 5th position in the city. She was followed by Shubhangi Ray with 98.20% (9th position) and Devesh Agiwal with 98.00% (10th position). In the Commerce stream, Shivam Kumar Jha topped with 97.00%, followed by Ismeet Kaur and Manan Ringsia, both with 96.00%.
Out of 129 ICSE candidates, 49 students scored between 90% to 100%, and 46 students scored between 80% to 89%.

In the ISC Examination, Priya Bansal topped the Science stream with 96.00%, followed closely by Roshni Choudhary and Shikhar Modi with 95.50%, and Anikesh Kumar Singh with 95.25%. Khushi Pasrija topped the Commerce stream with 97.00%, securing the 4th position in the city. She was followed by Debjeet Paul with 95.00% and Sanchita Ghosh with 94.25%.

Out of 139 ISC candidates, 37 students scored between 90% to 100%, and 60 students scored between 80% to 89%.

NHES achieved a 100% pass percentage in both ICSE and ISC examinations. Additionally, 20 students obtained 90 and above percentile scores in JEE Main 2024. Arpit Chaudhary emerged as the Kolhan topper in JEE Advanced 2024 with an All India Rank (AIR) of 415, followed by Ankesh Kumar Singh (AIR 4848), Priyanshu Kumar Singh (AIR 14668), and Jay Shivansh (AIR 18534).

The ceremony concluded with inspiring words from the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honour, motivating the students. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Mrs. Tandrima Banerjee, Chief of Administration.

This event celebrated the hard work and dedication of NHES students, highlighting the school’s commitment to excellence in education.
