Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh Jamshedpur announces free Kanwar Yatra

Jamshedpur, June 30: After performing puja at Rankani Temple in Kadma, the Baba Baidyanath Seva Sangh released a poster inviting registrations for the upcoming free Kanwar Yatra to Sultanganj. The event saw hundreds of devotees gathering at the temple premises, chanting Bol Bam slogans fervently.

Vikas Singh, the founder member of the Sangh, announced that this year, 1100 Kanwariyas will embark on a journey from Jamshedpur to Sultanganj on July 28th as part of the free Kanwar Yatra organized during the holy month of Sawan. Participants will travel by bus, car, and train services provided by the Sangh. From Sultanganj, they will proceed on foot to Baba Nagari after collecting water from Uttar Vahini Ganga.

Registration for the Yatra will commence on July 1st, with contact numbers for registration posted across various squares, intersections, and temples to facilitate easy enrollment. Singh assured that arrangements have been made for accommodations at Dharamshalas from Sultanganj to Deoghar and further to Baba Basukinath Dham to ensure a comfortable stay during the week-long yatra.

Highlighting the cultural aspect, Singh mentioned that artists from Rewa, Madhya Pradesh, will present the timeless saga of Baba Baidyanath at Baba Bhootnath Dharamshala, a focal point of the yatra’s attractions.

Local devotees from Sonari, Kadma, Bistupur, Sakchi, and Mango are expected to participate enthusiastically in the Kanwar Yatra this year. The poster release event was attended by numerous dignitaries and community members, including Rajesh Singh, Chittaranjan Verma, Arvind Mahato, and many others, who expressed their support for the spiritual journey.
