Jamshedpur, July 19: Students of the Netaji Subhash Institute of Law, under Netaji Subhash University, recently undertook a seven-day educational tour to Delhi aimed at deepening their understanding of India’s judicial system. A total of 39 students and 3 professors participated in the visit.
One of the key highlights was a visit to the Supreme Court of India, where students witnessed live court proceedings and experienced the grandeur and history of the nation’s highest judicial institution. A special interactive session was also organized with a senior Supreme Court advocate, who discussed the legal profession’s challenges, ethical responsibilities, and landmark verdicts.
The group also visited the newly established National Judicial Museum and Archives, which showcased rare historical documents, judicial robes, old typewriters, and digital displays of landmark rulings reflecting the evolution of India’s judiciary.
In the next phase of the tour, the students explored the Bar Council of India and learned about its functioning, structure, and role under the Advocates Act of 1961. Various practical workshops were also held during the tour, including sessions on moot court techniques, legal research, and drafting.
The university’s professors appreciated the educational value of the tour and described it as a valuable learning experience for aspiring legal professionals.
