Jamshedpur: The NEET UG 2025 exam was conducted peacefully across eight centres in Jamshedpur on Sunday, with over 3,000 candidates appearing for the test. The East Singhbhum district administration had imposed Section 144 around all examination centres to ensure smooth conduct and prevent any untoward incident.
DC Ananya Mittal personally monitored the arrangements, stating that comprehensive preparations had been made in light of recent concerns surrounding the NEET exam. Security personnel and magistrates were deployed at all centres to maintain order and ensure transparency during the exam.

The eight centres included prominent institutions such as LBSM College, Graduate College, Jamshedpur Women’s University, Jamshedpur Cooperative College, and Government Adivasi Plus Two High School. All students were instructed to report to their respective centres by 11:00 AM, and the exam was held from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
In the aftermath of the recent NEET paper leak controversy in other parts of the country, the local administration took no chances and implemented strict security protocols throughout the district.

After the exam, many students shared their experience, stating that the paper was largely balanced. However, several candidates found the Physics section particularly challenging, while Chemistry and Biology were considered relatively easier. The paper consisted of a total of 180 questions.
Overall, the NEET exam in Jamshedpur concluded without any incident, and the district administration was commended for its proactive approach and smooth handling of the examination process.
