Grand procession marks Feast of St. Anthony in Jamshedpur

 

Jamshedpur, June 13: The Feast of St. Anthony was celebrated with great faith and devotion on Saturday, June 13, at Infant Jesus Parish, Sonari. A grand procession in honour of St. Anthony was taken out from Loyola School to the St. Anthony Club Ground in Sonari in the evening, drawing a large number of devotees who participated in the religious celebrations.

The annual feast was organised by St. Anthony Club, Sonari, in association with Infant Jesus Parish. The day-long programme began with a Novena prayer in the morning, followed by Adoration and Benediction, Holy Mass, and the Flag Retreat ceremony. The procession was the highlight of the celebrations, after which a felicitation programme, and devotional hymns and songs were held at the club ground.

The feast was preceded by a series of spiritual activities conducted from June 1 to June 13. Novena prayers, rosary petitions, and special worship services were organised for peace, harmony, love, and the welfare of all people. Charismatic and Healing Prayer sessions were also held from June 7 to June 9, while the Novena of the Sacred Heart was observed from June 1 to June 9.

Members of St. Anthony Club and Infant Jesus Parish welcomed devotees and guests who attended the celebrations. Organisers said the feast was observed with deep religious fervour and prayed for peace, unity, and blessings for every family and the community at large.
