Jamshedpur, March 20: To mark the International Day of Happiness, Narbheram Hansraj English School (NHES), in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, Steel City, organized a Mental Wellness Workshop aimed at fostering emotional resilience, stress management, and mental health awareness among students.
The 2025 theme, “Caring and Sharing,” highlights the role of kindness, compassion, and generosity in creating a happier world. Recognizing the increasing mental health challenges students face due to academic pressure, social expectations, and personal struggles, the session focused on equipping them with tools to manage stress and enhance their well-being.
The event featured interactive and motivational workshops led by renowned speakers, including Dr. Suprabha Dey, Assistant Professor at Amity University of Education, Lucknow, and Durga D. Pathak, a human resource and industrial relations expert with 37 years of experience at Tata Steel.
NHES Principal Paramita Roy Chaudhury emphasized the importance of prioritizing mental health in schools. “Our goal is to create a safe and supportive environment where students feel heard, valued, and empowered to seek help,” she said.
The workshop was graced by Chief Guest Nakul Kamani, President of NHES, who stressed that mental wellness programs play a crucial role in preparing students for real-life challenges. Shivani Goel, President of the Rotary Club of Jamshedpur, Steel City, initiated the session, reaffirming the club’s commitment to student well-being.
