Nagar Kirtan in Jamshedpur’s Sakchi on December 27 on Prakash Parv

Jamshedpur: Preparations have begun at Sakchi Gurdwara to celebrate the 360th birth anniversary of the tenth Sikh Guru, Dasmesh Pita Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, with great devotion and grandeur. At a meeting of the Gurdwara Management Committee held on Monday under the chairmanship of Gurdwara President Sardar Nishan Singh, it was decided that a grand procession will be taken out in Sakchi on December 27 on the occasion of Prakash Parv.

Addressing the meeting, the President informed that a three-day Prabhat Pheri will be organized from December 23 to 25 ahead of the Prakashotsav. Akhand Paaths will commence on December 25 and will conclude on December 27, the day of Prakash Parv. On the same day, a Kirtan Darbar will be organized in the Gurdwara premises, where devotees will listen to Gurbani and the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji.

It was informed that the procession will start from Sakchi Gurdwara Sahib and pass through Kalimati Road, Basant Talkies Roundabout, Sakchi Roundabout, Kashidih Mod Roundabout and R.D. Tata Roundabout before returning to the Gurdwara. During the procession, the palanquin of the eternal Sri Guru Granth Sahib will also be carried for darshan by the Sangat. The procession will be led by the Stree Satsang Sabha, Sukhmani Sahib Jatha, Naujavan Sabha and Guru Roop Sadh Sangat. Students from Guru Nanak Higher and Middle Schools and Modern English School will also participate.

Committee members appealed to the Sangat to participate in large numbers and cooperate in making the religious procession successful. It was also announced that on the auspicious occasion of Prakashotsav, uninterrupted Guru ka Langar along with Kadah Prasad will be served to all devotees. In the meeting, trustees and committee members were present, and at the end, an appeal was made to all members of the Sikh community and devotees of the area to attend the procession and Kirtan Darbar and receive the blessings of the Guru’s house.
