Jamshedpur:The police are yet to crack the mystery behind disappearance of a 18-year-old youth Brajesh Kumar, who has gone missing on his way to the house of his tutor at Golmuri since November 14 afternoon.
Though Brajesh’s father Birendra Ray has lodged an FIR with the Burmamines police station after his younger brother Jitendra got an SMS in which the caller had asked Birendra Ray to arrange Rs 10 lakh if they want the victim safe and sound.
After getting the SMS, the victim’s father and uncle were convinced that Brajesh had been abducted by unknown criminals and then only they approached the police for lodging the FIR.
Brajesh is a first year B Sc student in Karimcity College, Sakchi and his father Birendra Ray is a contract worker. The police have registered a case of abduction against unknown person on the basis of the FIR lodged by Birendra.
Officer-in-charge, Burmamines police station, Nand Kishore Prasad confirmed to have registered a case of abduction for ransom in connection with the disappearance of the Karim City College student a week ago.
” We are investigating the incident however yet to solve mystery. We have the mobile phone of Jitendra Ray, on whose cell-phone the SMS had come about the ransom. We are trying to find out the sender of the SMS by putting the number involved in the mobile phone tracking soon after getting the FIR,” said Prasad.
Birendra Ray, when contacted, said that his son had taken tuition fee for his tutor, but did not attend the tuition that day. The victim’s family hail from Bihar and have already search for him at the every possible places of relatives in Jamshedpur and also in their native place before knocking the door of the police.
