Addressing the media Tathagat Bhattacharjee and Jenny Shah said that in its 6th year now the fest has films with burning issues made by professional as well as budding film makers. The duration of each film ranges from 1 min. to 30 min.; languages being Hindi, English, Bengali, Punjabi and some are silent films. Films are from Mumbai, Bangalore, Kolkata and Jamshedpur.

The purpose of the festival has always been to showcase the creative works of budding film makers especially from Jharkhand and give them a platform thus enabling them to move forward in film making. Screening works of professional film makers would help the amateur ones to learn and set goals for themselves. This blend of film makers creates a healthy environment of cinema which is now 100 years old in our country, said Bhattacharjee.

Filmmaker Gautam Shankar said that this year the festival has 20 films by professional film makers like Ashoke Viswanathan (Mansukh Bhai), Tathagata Bhattacherjee (Target), Abhishek Ganguli (Casting Couch), Shiv Kumar Prasad (Mati Ke Mol) and Md. Nizam (Zindagi Ke Liye) to name few.
