MP and MLA lay foundation of Rs 4.5 cr projects in Potka

Potka: Jamshedpur MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and the MLA of Potka Menka Sardar here on Tuesday laid foundation stone for three development projects worth Rs 4.5 crore.
The MP, accompanied by Sardar, first laid the foundation stone for the construction of a residential hostel for girls at Giri Bharati High School.

Thereafter, they laid the foundation day for a tarmac road in Balidih and Dhirol. As per plan, the proposed tarmac road is to be constructed from Balidih to Buruhatu. The third road will be built from Chimaijuri main road to Hesalbil through Netosai. The total length of the road will be around 3.5 kilometre. It will be built under a state-funded project.

In his address, Mahato said development works were going on at full pace in Jharkhand under the BJP regime. He said it was the state government�s top priority to supply drinking water and electricity to every village and also build roads necessarily. He said the government was putting in sincere efforts to ensure completion of many development and welfare projects in the state.

In her speech, Menka Sardar said there was no village in her constituency that did not have pucca roads. She said the remaining few roads were being converted into pucca roads.

Among those present on the occasion included Zila Parishad member Chandravati Mahato, JMM leader Sunil Mahato, Vibhishan Singh Sardar, Ashutosh Das, Pintu Sarangi, Santosh Bhanj, Khelaram Besra, Sanjeev Bhakat and Abhishek Kumar Singh.
