Mother, son arrested over Jamshedpur theft

Jamshedpur, November 26: Jugsalai police while disclosing the case of theft at the house of Anil Aggarwal living near Bata Chowk claimed to have arrested  Mohammed Azad and his mother Naima Khatoon  resident of Gauri Shankar Road and sent them to judicial custody. According to the information received, the police arrested Azhar from Kidderpore in Kolkata.

At the behest of Azhar, the police have also recovered all the stolen goods. According to the information received, after committing the theft, Azhar had fled to Kolkata after giving all the stolen jewelery to his mother.

 Here, the police was checking the nearby CCTV. The police identified the thief and raided his house. Police had interrogated Azhar’s mother. During interrogation, Azhar’s mother told the police that Azhar was in Kolkata, after which the police arrested him from Kolkata.

Incidentally, on the evening of 19th November, Anil had gone to Chhath Ghat with his family.

When he returned home from puja, he himself stayed in the shop while sending his mother upstairs. When his mother went upstairs, she found that the door of the room was broken. The thieves stole from almirahs kept in two rooms.

According to Anil, the thieves had stolen jewelery worth Rs 10 lakh along with Rs 1 lakh cash kept at home. The police have recovered all the stolen jewellery.
