Jamshedpur, November 26: Jamshedpur Police has arrested three accused from Jamshedpur who were making people from across the country victims of honey trap.
The arrested accused include Asif Raza, resident of Jugsalai Panchhi Mohalla, Jagjit Singh, resident of Parsudih Golpahari and Sameer Sharma, resident of Shankarpur.
Police have recovered two mobile phones from the accused. During the investigation, the police recovered three fake Instagram IDs and one fake WhatsApp ID from a mobile. Using these IDs, people were made victims of honey traps. The age of all the arrested accused is 18 to 19 years. All have studied in big schools of the city and are pursuing further studies. The accused told that they first create many fake Instagram IDs by posting photos of girls. After this, they start talking by sending a follow request to anyone at random. Gradually he is tricked and asked to come on a video call. On one side they play obscene videos on which there is a girl’s picture. Meanwhile, screen record the actions of the other person. After this, they blackmail them by asking them to send the video to their relatives and demand money.
