Jamshedpur, June 25: A program on ‘Breaking through Dyslexia’ was held at Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) on Saturday by Divya Jalan the president-founder and trustee of  Breaking through Dyslexia, who is actively involved in spreading awareness about learning disabilities across India.

Aruna Bhaskar, a special educator trained at Spastics Society of Karnataka, Bangalore, was the other trainer present at the event.

The program was held at behest of TQMS and was attended by over 50 teachers from different city schools including Motilal Nehru Public School, Baug-e-Jamshed, Jusco School, JH Tarapore School, DBMS English School and Loyola School.

Dyslexia is a neurological condition which turns into a learning disability. It is something that can be improved with adequate support, training and teaching.

This condition can also afflict intelligent people. Dyslexia is just a reading disability. It does not define one’s IQ.

Teachers were enriched with the learning and appreciated the effort of Motilal Nehru Public School and TQMS in this direction.
