Jamshedpur, April 25: Saryu Roy, MLA of Jamshedpur East, has raised concerns regarding the actions of Dhullu Mahato, the declared BJP candidate from the Dhanbad Lok Sabha constituency. In a letter addressed to the Governor and Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Roy highlighted the alleged atrocities committed by Mahato on villagers in the Baghmara assembly constituency, where he currently serves as MLA.

According to Roy’s letter, Mahato and his associates have reportedly forcibly occupied approximately 200 acres of land belonging to both villagers and the government. They have surrounded this land with a high boundary wall, effectively isolating it and even enclosing a rural road within the boundaries. Roy emphasized that these actions have severely impacted the local community, including residents of the MLA’s own village.

The letter includes eyewitness accounts and details of the encroachment, providing evidence of the situation. Roy has urged the Governor and Chief Minister to take immediate action to remove the encroachment on villagers’ lands and reclaim government properties. Currently, the Governor is out of the state, and the Chief Minister is also away from the capital. Upon their return, Roy intends to meet with them personally to discuss the matter and seek their intervention.
