Jamshedpur, July 25: Taking serious note of parenting gaps adversely affecting children during growing years, Motilal Nehru Public School (MNPS) organized a webinar on Effective Parenting in which the keynote speaker was renowned development psychologist and counselor Dr. Nidhi Srivastava.
Dr. Srivastava shared her views on effective parenting. She promoted the idea of responsible parenting. She pointed out the parenting issues, including excessive scolding by the parents had adverse psychological impacts on children. The renowned counselor shared important tips to raise happy and confident children.
The webinar was attended and appreciated by parents of MNPS students. It gave the parents and caregivers the opportunity to learn simple and practical strategies to settle parenting problems. The expert counselor addressed the questions put forth by the parents. MNPS Principal Ashu Tiwary in her address reiterated the observations of Dr Nidhi Srivastav and asked parents to treat their children more like friends and confidence providers.
