Jamshedpur, Sep 9: Mango Municipal Corporation (MMC) launched a campaign to remove encroachment from Gandhi Maidan on Friday.
Leading the campaign, Jitendra Kumar, City Manager of MMC, said the vegetable shops set up by vendors were removed on the order of the Special Officer. He said the vendors could either go back to Dimna Road or go to the vegetable market built by the MMC.
One of the vendors Ramesh Kumar said a renovation work is underway in the middle of Dimna Road and hence he is unable to go back there to sell vegetables.
