Ranchi, March 20: Due to the proactive efforts of Jharkhand’s Labour, Employment, Training, and Skill Development Department, the mortal remains of late Ravi Kumar, who worked as a steel fixer for Russia’s OOO LEV Story—a corporate partner of Esta Construction Company—were successfully repatriated to his hometown in Garhwa. The matter came to light when Ravi Kumar’s father, Sachchidanand Chaudhary, reported his son’s death to the state-run Migrant Control Room.
Acting swiftly, the control room coordinated with the Protector of Emigrants and reached out to the Second Secretary (Consular) at the Indian Embassy in Moscow. Their intervention expedited the necessary procedures, and the company facilitated the repatriation of the body.
The Indian Embassy also completed the required documentation and issued a No Objection Certificate (NOC) for the transportation of the mortal remains.
The body of late Ravi Kumar Chaudhary was sent from Moscow to Delhi on March 19 by flight number SU 232 and his body reached Delhi on March 20.
The Deputy Commissioner of Garhwa Shekhar Jamuhar played an important role in establishing coordination at the departmental level in bringing Ravi Kumar Chaudhary’s body back home.
