Jamshedpur, May 30: Tata Steel on Monday organized the closing ceremony of ‘Sports Summer Camp 2016’ at JRD Tata Sports Complex. Jolly Bhaskaran graced the occasion as the chief guest.
Bhaskaran praised the sports department and requested all the parents to keep on encouraging their children to participate in sports activities, which will expose their talent and keep them healthy and fit. Bhaskaran also distributed mementos to the youngest of all 21 sporting activities of the camp.
The program started with a short report about the various activities of the camp by Mukul Choudhari, administrator, TFA and Sports. This was followed by a feedback session by some of the parents present on the occasion, a press communique issued by Tata Steel Corporate Communications stated.
The evening also saw some cultural performances like magic show, dance performances by basketball, karate, archery and ISWP groups. All the summer trainees and guests also enjoyed zumba with the trainer Jeet Bnerjee.
The camp was scheduled from May 10-30, 2016. It included sporting activities like archery, athletic, badminton, boxing, basketball, chess, cricket, football, golf, handball, hockey, karate, kabaddi, roller skating, swimming, table tennis, tennis, volleyball, weight lifting, yoga and zumba.
Farzan Heerjee, chief (GR & Sports), Tata Steel, delivered the vote of thanks. He thanked the coaches, parents, media, and employees of sports department for making the camp a huge success.
