Jamshedpur, May 30: Blasters defeat Game Changers by two wickets in the final to win the fifth edition of Big Bash Summer Premier League (SPL) title at Sakchi Gurudwara Ground on Minday.
Bobby of team Game Changers was awarded the sixer king for hitting 36 sixes in the tournament along with talking 14 wickets and becoming best bowler. Bobby also won the best batsmen award for scoring 325 runs and getting both the purple and orange cap. Team Panther was adjudged the second runner-up.
In the final match played on Monday, Blasters won the toss and decided to field. Game Changers scored 151 in 12 overs.
Chasing 152 to win Team Blasters with the help of Lalli Singh 41 runs achieved the target in 11 overs.
Gurudev Singh Raja, pradhan of Sakchi Gurudwara was the chief guest at the prize distribution function while treasurer Ajit Singh was the guest of honour. They distributed the prizes to the winners.
