Ranchi, May 4: The Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee is leaving no stone unturned to make the upcoming ‘Save Constitution’ rally, scheduled for May 6 in Ranchi, a historic event. Led by state president Keshav Mahato Kamlesh, various committees are working tirelessly to ensure massive public participation and smooth execution.

Meetings are being held in urban neighbourhoods and remote blocks to mobilize support. From the state Congress headquarters to major city intersections, awareness campaigns are being actively conducted. Dr. Bela Prasad, AICC Secretary and Jharkhand in-charge, is personally monitoring the preparations in Ranchi. On Sunday morning at 6:30 AM, he inspected the rally venue—Old Assembly Ground—accompanied by Kamlesh, senior leaders Alok Kumar Dubey, Shashi Bhushan Rai, Himanshu, Sanjay Prasad and Mehul Dubey.

They reviewed arrangements such as stage construction, security, seating for workers, media zones and medical aid centres. A crucial meeting at the Congress Bhavan included district presidents and nodal officers to ensure participation from all parts of the state. Leaders like Lal Kishore Nath Shahdev, Suryakant Shukla, Dr. Rajesh Gupta, Sundari Tirkey, Akhtar Ali, Prabhat Kumar, Jitendra Trivedi and others were present.

Speaking to the media, Congress General Secretary Alok Dubey alleged, “Despite being cleared in the National Herald case, the Prime Minister, threatened by the collective voice of Congress workers at the Ahmedabad session, used ED to target Sonia and Rahul Gandhi. This is not just an attack on democracy, but a mockery of constitutional institutions.”

Congress spokesperson Shahdev added, “The rally will echo the voice of the people and signal that the time has come to reaffirm our 75-year democratic commitment.”

Dr. Rajesh Gupta stated, “This rally represents all communities and stands as a strong political intervention for democracy, social justice and equality.”
