Jamshedpur, March 1: Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi has demanded construction of a guesthouse at the picnic spot near Dimna Dam. He has also demanded construction of toilets for visitors. He raised the twin demands in the Jharkhand Assembly on Wednesday during the Zero Hour.
Kalindi, in his submission, said every year a large number of tourists from West Bengal, Jharkhand and several other states visit Dimna Lake for picnic. These tourists, however face inconvenience as there is no public toilet available near the Dam. Female visitors are worst hit by the situation, said the MLA.
Kalindi said the tourists are unable to stay at Dimna Lake as there is no guesthouse here. He said if the Dimna Lake area is developed as a tourist place, the problem of unemployment in the region may be solved to a great extent. Kalindi demanded that the state government should build guesthouse and toilets in Dimna Lake area.
