Madhuri fan Pappu Sardar celebrates Holi with special children in Jamshedpur

Jamshedpur, Feb 27: The festival of colours turned into a celebration of compassion and inclusion as social worker Pappu Sardar organised a special Holi celebration with children at the Cheshire Home in Sundernagar on Friday. The event not only brought joy to the children but also conveyed a strong message of celebrating a drug-free Holi.

The campus of the Cheshire Home came alive with vibrant colours as special children enthusiastically played with abir and gulal. The air was filled with laughter and music as children, staff and visitors danced together to popular Holi songs, creating a festive and heartwarming atmosphere.

Continuing his tradition, Pappu Sardar personally prepared almond sherbet and served it to everyone present. Through this gesture, he urged people to celebrate Holi without the use of intoxicants. He emphasised that Holi is a festival of harmony, encouraging people to forget past grievances and strengthen bonds of brotherhood. He said that a drug-free Holi not only ensures personal well-being but also contributes positively to families, society and the administration.

Joining the celebrations, Pappu Sardar danced with the children, making the occasion even more memorable for them. He also distributed dry breakfast and lunch among the children, adding to their festive delight.

Sister Sarika of Cheshire Home extended her Holi greetings and highlighted the importance of celebrating the festival with mutual respect. She stressed that colours should be applied with consent and in a spirit of brotherhood. She also shared that the children eagerly look forward to celebrating Holi with Pappu Sardar every year.
