Jamshedpur, Sept.21: Lions District Governor’s first advisory committee meeting was conducted by Zone Chairperson of Zone A Pranati Dash at a city hotel on Wednesday were five clubs under her zone attended and reviewed their activities and chalked out action plans for the future.
Each Zone Chairperson has to conduct four such meetings in the Lionistic year, first to be held in September, second in November, third In February and fourth in June.
Review and Feedback from every club officials were taken on membership growth, sponsorship of new Lions and Leo Club, conduct of Centennial Service Challenges covering Hunger, Vision, Environment and Youth.
Focus was also given to go in for any Centennial Legacy Project which can benefit the community for a longer period and also proper branding of Lions in the Centennial Year which Lions Clubs International is celebrating, future workshop on Lions Quest, adoption of park, participation in projects like Swachh Bharat Abhiyan, Road Safety, No to Plastic etc.
Many other issues were deliberated and discussed and it was decided to go in for more social service projects. Clubs will be actively participating in the Women’s Empowerment and will collaborate with Brahma Kumaris in the screening of highly creative and Inspirational Hindi Documentary Talk Show – “Nareetva Darshan ‘Swamaan Ya Purush Samaan’ (Self Respect or Equal To Men) on Sunday 25th September 2016 at Payal Cinema Complex, Mango from 9 AM- 10.30 AM and will hold an Interactive Workshop symposium ” Being Positive No matter what on 27th September from 4 – 6 PM at Hotel Boulevard, Bistupur.
President Harpreet Kaur, S K Biswas, Nitesh Verma from Lions Club of Jamshedpur, President Ravi Sarogi, Secretary Birendra Pal Singh, Sarita Gupta from Lions Club of Jamshedpur North, President Vandana Mishra, Secretary Meena Bhagat, Rekha Oraon from Lions Club of Steel City, President Soma Chand and Secretary V N Singh from Lions Club of Jamshedpur Golmuri, Secretary Dr Tapas Chatterjee, Hari Prasad and Awadh Kishore from Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar attended the Advisory Committee meeting and later all of them participated in the candle march.
