Jamshedpur, Sept. 21: Members of Jamshedpur based Lions Club participated in the Candle March held at Bistupur and paid their homage and tribute to the bravery of the martyrs who lost their precious life fighting for the country in the unfortunate terrorist attacks in the Army Camp at Uri in Kashmir.
Two of the martyrs hails from Khunti in Jharkhand and Gaya in Bihar which falls under the Lions District 322 A. Members of Lions Club of Khunti Centennial and Lions Club of Gaya and Bodhgaya also met the families and extended their support.
Pranati Dash, Zone Chairperson led the march along with President Harpreet Kaur, S K Biswas, Nitesh Verma from Lions Club of Jamshedpur, President Ravi Sarogi, Secretary Birendra Pal Singh, Sarita Gupta from Lions Club of Jamshedpur North, President Vandana Mishra, Secretary Meena Bhagat, Rekha Oraon from Lions Club of Steel City, President Soma Chand and Secretary V N Singh from Lions Club of Jamshedpur Golmuri, Secretary Dr Tapas Chatterjee, Hari Prasad and Awadh Kishore from Lions Club of Jamshedpur Tatanagar were present throughout.
