Jamshedpur, Jan 30: To play part in spreading the message of peace, Little Flower School(LFS) on Friday held a special assembly on Peace.
The assembly was held around the Peace Pole installed in the school premises. The students were seated in the formation of a dove, symbolising their efforts as ambassadors of peace and love.
A few students carried placards with the names of winners of the Nobel Peace Prize since 1921, and spoke a line about each one of them.
Others read out messages on how we can help to live peaceful lives and put an end to the senseless acts of violence and negativity that plague our community, and conveyed thoughts on peace through songs and dance.
A student read out the most befitting message conveyed by Barrack Obama on his recent visit to India, where he encouraged people to do away with religious differences which is the main deterrent to peace in the world.
The function ended with a prayer song for peace. The World Peace Day reflects the deep desire for all people to live together, free and equal in dignity and rights.
It is a day devoted to strengthening the ideals of peace, both within and among all nations and peoples.
