Lecture on ‘Realistic Depiction of History’ at Karim City College

Jamshedpur, July 27: “History serves as a visionary and vigilant director of society. Whenever there is a decline in human values, history awakens people and advocates for the truth. It not only discusses the past in the context of the present but also weaves the future of human life,” observed Dr Indrasen Singh, the keynote speaker and Head of the Department of History, Karim City College in his address on the topic, ‘Realistic Depiction of History.’

The lecture session was organized under the auspices of centre for Academic Development (CAD), at Karim City College.

The program was chaired by the KCC Principal, Dr Mohammad Reyaz, in the Faculty Study and was attended by the department heads and professors from the Arts, Science, and Commerce faculties. The welcome address was delivered by the Coordinator of CAD, Dr Sandhya Sinha who highlighted the significance of the topic, ‘Realistic Depiction of History’ while stating that history formed the foundation of the present and guided generations towards the future.

Keynote speaker, Dr Indrasen Singh discussed various historical eras and their contextual references. His lecture was followed by a question-and-answer session during which, several teachers posed questions that were answered by Dr Indrasen Singh.

Secretary, Dr Mohammad Zakaria shared his thoughts with the audience, acknowledging the keynote speaker for his insightful discourse. College Principal, Dr Mohammad Reyaz, in his address, reinforced the importance of an accurate portrayal of history with a perspective. The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Professor Dr Uddham Singh.
